Our Story

The Autonomous Karting Series started from the EV Grand Prix to get universities involved in autonomous racing. We expanded out as our own competition driven by team feedback to design a constantly innovating competition.By keeping the use of homologated components down we incentivize different development paths for teams to come up with their own solutions.

How does it work?

1. Team Formation: Universities form teams of students to participate in the AKS.
2.Vehicle Preparation: Teams build or modify go-karts to be autonomous, using their own hardware and software.
3.Competition: Teams compete in head-to-head races, showcasing their autonomous driving capabilities.
4.Learning and Development: Participants gain valuable experience in robotics, autonomous systems, and teamwork.
